Jonathan Katz is running for Mayor because he wants to keep Hamden residents in their homes.

A Message from Jonathan

Hamden deserves better.

For too long, we’ve watched as reckless spending, short-term thinking, and a lack of vision have held our community back. It’s time for leadership that puts fiscal responsibility first, fosters innovation, and empowers our people — not a political agenda.

As a lifelong Hamden resident and the grandson of a family that has called this town home for three generations, I believe in Hamden’s potential. Together, we can build a town where families thrive, businesses prosper, and government works for the people.

We have a vision for our future. Let's build it  — together.

Our Vision — 5 Pillars for Hamden’s Future

Creating Community-Centered Innovation

Foster organic local growth by investing in Hamden’s existing businesses and entrepreneurs.

Encouraging Economic Empowerment

Encourage small business success and attract outside investment through strategic fiscal and economic policies, in turn, relieving the tax burden on our residents.

Putting Fiscal Responsibility First

End reckless spending and restore transparency and accountability to town government.

Leading Proactive Government

Shift Hamden from reactive politics to a forward-thinking, problem-solving approach.

Encouraging Our Youth

Invest in after-school programs and youth initiatives that prepare the next generation for success.

Join our movement.

Together, we can take Hamden back — and move it forward.
